Mercedes-Benz Enquiries iPad App

Mercedes-Benz needed a quick and simple method to capture customer enquiries at the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed using Apple iPads.

At very short notice I produced a cross-platform mobile web application. The app is launched from a home screen icon and runs full-screen just like a native app. It has full data validation and a basic reporting suite to track key metrics during an event.

Because the app is web-based, updates and enhancements are instantly reflected on all devices, across all events and locations, without the need to re-install the app on the device or re-sync with iTunes. I was able to work with the Mercedes-Benz events team and tweak the app while it was being used.

The app is cross-platform, this means the app will work on pretty much any computer, mobile or tablet device with a modern browser.

By way of thanks, my friends at Mercedes-Benz very kindly arranged for me to drive the Mercedes SLS AMG up the hill at Goodwood. Here’s the video.

Jenny Martin – Mobile Hair Professional

When Jenny Martin left a busy St. Albans hair salon to start her own business as a mobile hairdresser, she asked me to create young and vibrant identity which conveyed her unique personality and approach to hairdressing.

Business Cards

I designed a business card that included a price list and room for Jenny to write a short note so the card can also be used as an appointment card.

Postcards

The postcard was a scaled up version of the business card with more room for Jenny to write personal messages. Jenny used these to give special offers to her best clients. She even used them as Christmas cards, including a discount as a gift.

Facebook Page Ad

I created Facebook page to help Jenny promote her new business venture to her network of friends and family. Very quickly friends of friends and other people in the local area joined the page and became customers.

Honda Web Deployment Tool

Honda had a multiple stage development environment. Due to the volume and complexity of code and asset releases, an application was required to manage and deploy packaged releases between the different servers and environments.

The original Deployment Tool was designed and built by Matt Woodage, but after a server architecture and workflow upgrade within the Honda Web Development Team, the Deployment Tool needed to be upgraded.

I was responsible for a comprehensive upgrade to the Deployment Tool which is a lightweight HTML and JavaScript front-end with a Classic ASP back-end.
